Even Hideo Kojima has pointed out that MGS4 is more action orientated in this installment. And yet, Splinter Cell has never deviated from the true stealth mechinacs. It's a shame, since MGS invented the stealth genre in the first place.

I'd say overall lighting and shading is about PGR3's standard. Flying mud and fire is all sprites. The front wheel on the motorbikes are below the ground, but we only the see mud flying up on the back wheel.

That being said, they do have a year to fix it up.
I can speak for myself when I say I will not be needing 1080p, or even 720p, for my gaming. I'm still playing in standard def, and probably will for another few years yet.
I think the general consenus from 360 "fanboys" is that we still don't care for it, but it is nice to have for those who can use it. We're not being "hypocritial" at all, IMO.
I think one reason they delayed it is so they did not force it upon developers who where just starting...
But it only a port. 360 is getting the sequel.
Sony got pwned. I'm not trying to act the fanboy, but how can I not when Sony fanboys have always been saying "true HD" as if the p actually made a difference, like it was a revolution or something. They were raving about Virtua Tennis in 1080p just the other day.

Mind, I'm still a 360 fan, but it's good PS3 gets nice games like this.

I thought they also said it rounds up the framerate to the nearest 10, so if you had 34fps, it would go down to 30fps, for some reason.
Still, I reckon they've found a way round it. Good Job! EDIT: Acutally, it appears to be option, with a warning it COULD affect framerate. Yay or nay....?
Hey, they're even adding the 4xAA for Standard Def TVs. Should've done that in the first place, but it's welcome anyway!
This article raises a good point, however, I'd say all the negativity is fueled by things being uncovered on the Internet.
However, I'd say Xbox 360 is the most logical step up on generational terms. PS3 is trying to pack too much, Wii too little. It's an upgrade, but that's what makes it safe. I'd rather have a secure technology then things like PS3's browser that can be hacked to high heaven.
We at Sony have intricate experience with Laptops. Particulary their batteries.
